L. Ray Morris, Ph. D.
Dr. Morris has 25 years of experience in the field of economic development with specialties in finance, portfolio management, and organizational leadership and management. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, his Master of Public Administration from Jacksonville State University, his Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Administration and Policy from Auburn University, and his Master of Science in Leadership from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Morris is a International City-County Management Association (ICMA) Credentialed Manager, a certified Economic Development Finance Professional, a graduate of the Brookings Institute’s Coach Development Program for executive coaching, a graduate of the Leadership ICMA Program, a graduate of the Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government Executive Education Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government, and a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout. Dr. Morris also periodically serves as adjunct faculty for the University of Alabama at Birmingham in their Department of Government’s graduate program. Dr. Morris currently serves on America’s First Federal Credit Union Board of Directors.

Samuel Kellett
Sam has been with Sabre Finance for over four years, working directly with clients to meet their individualized business needs. His experience in business development and passion for learning lead Sam’s drive to ensure a smooth experience in helping entrepreneurs navigate new paths by listening to client needs and matching proven methods with innovative decision-making. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and his Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville State University. Sam has recently completed certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP).

Marcellous Johnson
Marcellous is an educator. With experience across a multitude of fields, Marcellous brings a learner’s mindset and a natural talent for guiding to the Sabre Finance team. There are few individuals with the ability to listen and lead as Marcellous possesses. Marcellous attained a degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. Marcellous is completing certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP).

Amy brings her passion for helping grow “small business Alabama” to the Sabre Finance team after spending the last six years in retail operations and higher education administration. She has experience in employee and finance management, customer relations, and analytical business development. Amy’s passion lies in helping people. Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville State University.

As a business owner with over 16 years of experience, Keith brings extensive business management and entrepreneurial experience to the Sabre Finance team. In addition to his sound research and analytical skills, Keith is passionate about cultivating individual and organizational growth, working with clients to identify and overcome complex problems through innovative decision-making.

Kyle Norman
With over 20 years of military experience, retiring as a Master Chief in the U.S. Coast Guard, Kyle brings a unique perspective and desire to serve our military Veterans to the Sabre Finance team. An experienced leader and communicator, he is passionate about Veteran entrepreneurship and the opportunity to help Veteran small businesses succeed. Kyle has a Bachelor of Science in Security Management from Bellevue University. Kyle is completing certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP).

Cole Barrentine
Cole has an ardent desire to help those around him. Graduating from Colgate University with degrees in Peace and Conflict and German, he uses his analytical and resolution skills to foster trust and growth with local Alabama businesses and interact with companies internationally. He is motivated to reach as many clients as possible, no matter the distance or barriers that may be in place.

Yaireth Gomez
Yaireth has a passion for helping others succeed. With a background in Social Work and experience in real estate lending and business development, she is motivated to help clients reach their goals. Yaireth is an Auburn University Social Work graduate and will be serving the greater Auburn area. Yaireth is completing certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP).

Nancy Cogswell started at Sabre Finance in the summer of 2018, when the organization was still finding its footing. Through her incredible insight, attention to detail, and understanding of people, Nancy made a profound impact on the organization, helping build Sabre Finance to where it is today. Nancy was a team player, caring deeply for her coworkers and clients. But, beyond Nancy’s work with Sabre Finance, she was a true friend. Nancy watched out for others with a desire to build individuals up in any capacity that she could. She was protective and mindful of each person’s unique circumstances. Our team will carry Nancy’s spirit and hold this feeling of gratitude to have had the privilege of knowing and working alongside such a wonderful friend.
